say-no

Knowing how and when to say no is actually good for your health and sanity.

We all have limits to our time, energy and interests. To be, and to stay focus is learning to say “No”.

Learn to say no to toxic clients

Learn to say “No” to stressful clients, the ones that are more trouble than they are worth, the ones that do not pay on time. Unless necessary for your peace of mind to discontinue the relationship altogether, just make sure to limit your commitments with them to the bare minimum. Keep the lines of communication open, however, just make sure to set boundaries on what you will and will not accept. Clearly state your company policy upfront. This will reinforce, not jeopardize your relationship.

Learn to say no to people asking for freebies

When asked for a discount, a freebie or a special deal, think twice before acknowledging. If you feel compelled to give a discount, do so because you can afford it or because you really want the business. Nevertheless, always ask for something in return, either a new client referral, a larger order or a long-term contract. Make it a winning situation.

Learn to say “No” to late payments

Make sure your payment terms are clearly laid and enforce them.

Learn to say “No” to petty jobs

Beware of the client who asks you to “just do this one little thing” without offering to pay for it. If the request is something easy to be done and do not take too much of your time, you may choose to go ahead and do it. Preferably and even better, even if it feels awkward to do so, offer a price for the extra work.

Saying “No” does not come easy. However, once you learn this skill and if you learn to do it nicely, your clients will respect your professionalism and you will enjoy a higher income.

The Golden Rule in a Business Environment

bunkumless.com, Reputation, The Golden Rule

zen

“Treat others as you would want to be treated.”

Today, in a business or corporate environment, it is often too easy to adopt a cut-throat strategy and forget or dismiss everything about ethics; to stuff all ethical principles into our business values page, but to leave them out of every one of our day-to-day processes. Far from being useless in the business world, the concept of ethic is directly tied to a company’s or business’s long-term success. The Golden rule is short, succinct and powerful: “Treat others as you would want to be treated.”

The Golden Rule is: Everything About Success

Treat your customers right and they will be more likely to come back and more inclined to recommend your products or services. Treat your workers fairly, and they will always provide excellent service. In a world where the question of ethics and moral dilemmas often arises, having a standard that you can refer to in your decision-making process is priceless. Having a solid set of ethics could be just what your company or business needs to stand above the competition.

Building a Reputation

The most valuable possession you have is your reputation. Guard it and protect it at all costs. Losing and then trying to rebuild a reputation is very difficult and sometimes even impossible. Following the Golden Rule in your exchanges with others and your decision-making processes is the most efficient and simple way to safeguard and maintain your personal and business reputation. Treating others decently is just as important in the business world as it is in your personal lives.

A cut-throat business strategy may work at first, but over time it will destroy the very environment it needs for its own success. Build your business in a sustainable way. Treat the members of your team, your customers, your vendors, and competitors fairly. Go above and beyond what whatever is required and expected. In the long run, this will always pay off significantly.

Keeping Everyone Happy

If there is any one secret of success, it lies in the ability to get the other person’s point of view and see things from that person’s angle as well as from your own.

People are far more likely to complain about a negative experience than they are to talk about a good one. Ninety-nine good deeds and one bad, all the people will remember about you or your business will be the bad one. Bad news travel a lot faster and reach more than twice as many people as good news or a praise for a good service or product experience. Treating your employees and customers well is important. It is key keeping them happy, motivated, productive and coming back for more.

A satisfied workforce will be motivated to provide great service to your customers, and improve their loyalty as well. Pure simple appreciation can go a long way. Applying the Golden Rule in the workplace and putting others first is the simplest way to keep everyone [or almost everyone] happy. Most importantly, if you treat your employees the way that we would like to be treated, you will be rewarded with a dedicated, talented and loyal work force that will consistently meet the needs of the marketplace.

Dusting Off the Golden Rule

Today, for any businesses or companies, dusting off the Golden Rule and putting it to work is an everyday must. Doing it in your customer service department would be a good start but applying it throughout every aspect and level of your daily operations will always prove to be a preferable approach. This would and will instantly put you, your business or company on the fast-track for long-term sustainable growth and definitely pave the way to success. Treat others like people, not numbers and put yourself in their place once in a while.

Following the Golden Rule will help you achieve all your goals.

clear-and-simple

Bad business writing drives everybody nuts

Bad business writing drives everybody nuts, slows your business down and compromise your success and profitability. Poorly written material is a waste of your time, your employees’ time and your customers’ time. What you read and what people read is too often ineffective because it is too long, poorly organized, unclear, filled with incomprehensible jargon, and imprecise. It drives people and customers away.

Good business writing creates alignment, boosts productivity and profitability.

When writing email, technical bulletins, memos, business letters and marketing material, everybody, from the CEO down, must set an example by communicating exactly what they want. Good business and marketing writing commands that you clearly state, either in the subject line or title, and the first two sentences of everything you write whatever is to be achieved and the desired results. Lose the filler and do not waste anybody’s time especially your prospective customers’ time.

Do this right, and you will get a reputation for honesty, truthfulness and, more importantly, you will retain your actual customers and attract new ones.

When writing, focus on the end user and everything else will follow.

Clarity tells everyone that they can trust you. When writing business and marketing material, focus on providing the best user experience possible, the best customer experience possible. Whether you are designing a new blog or website, writing a business letter or drafting a memo or email, always make sure that whatever you write will ultimately serve the interests of the end user or customer rather than our own internal goal or bottom line. Doing so, it will surely and definitely improve your business productivity and profitability.

Bunkum does not impress anyone. Bunkumless does! Every employee and customer can understand that bunkumless rings true.

Good business writing reflects clarity and honesty.

Unclear writing allows unclear thinking. Clear business and marketing writing always make sure to use well-organized, active-voice sentences. Clear business and marketing writing is everything about explaining what is happening, what ought to happen, what people need to do and what customers need to know. Nothing else! Unclear writing and language reflects nothing else than confusion and dishonesty.

Good business and marketing writing makes smart people stand out. Prize clarity, you and your business will rise to the top.

Always make sure to say what you mean.

Bunkumless.com provides you with no bullshit, no nonsense business and marketing writing material.

Bunkumless.com always make sure that the material ending up on your desk is clear, efficient, productive, profitable and, above everything else, bunkumless.

The options are yours:

You may decide to waste your time rooting through your subordinates’ unclear writing, or you can spend effort changing your business or corporate culture to one that prizes brevity, clarity, and directness. Bunkumless.com is here to assist you.

How To Avoid This So-called Burnout

So Tired

“I’m so tired”

These days, it seems everyone is exhausted, that everyone needs some time off.

Even though exhaustion may feel like a by-product of our new and modern era, the reality is that at any point in history, people have experienced exhaustion and theorized it in many different ways. From ancient Greece through the Renaissance, Industrial Revolution, post-war era, to modernity, for each of these era, exhaustion was this hybrid creature, which was not only understood through biological and physical contexts, but at times, also wrapped up in the social and political climates. regardless of the epoch, regardless of whether humans were living in agrarian societies or were bystanders to a world that was modernizing at an unprecedented velocity, people were tired.

Back to the 5th century BCE, Greek physician Galen of Pergamum, building upon Hippocrates’ work, touted the importance of balance between the four bodily “humors” and develop the first theory attempting to define and explain the exhaustion phenomena. For Galen, exhaustion was the result of individual behaviors such as eating the wrong foods, overindulging in sexual activities, and excessive worry. When an excess of black bile threw off the body’s internal scales, the individual exhibited symptoms including lethargy, lack of energy, and sluggishness.

Though some people tended to naturally lean toward melancholia, Galen believed the condition could also be a result of individual behaviors such as eating the wrong foods, overindulging in sexual activities, and excessive worry. For Galen, exhaustion existed in a very holistic realm and parts of that brand of thinking are very much present today. Though the humors have disappeared as a medical model, the holistic theory of balance is something that is still currently practiced in many Eastern models of medicine. Many people also believe that a disrupted body can lead to a disrupted mind.

Over the years, starting in the Middle Ages, exhaustion theories migrated from the medical realm to the church and the responsibility to remain energized was placed solely on the individual. For the religious authorities, exhaustion stemmed from participating in sinful activities that drained energy or submitting to an apathetic attitude that shunned interest in God and the divine good that he created. The solution to exhaustion was simple: upping one’s commitment God and work. In this scenario the individual accountable for lacking the willpower to choose godlier and active pursuits. In the years that followed, exhaustion leaped from one field to the next. During the Renaissance, those ruled by Saturn in their astrological charts were thought to be especially susceptible to fatigue. In the 18th century, it was believed that excessive masturbation depleted one’s energy reserves. It is only in the mid-19th century that medical theories once again took over, when American neurologist George Beard improperly diagnosed and popularized exhaustion as the result of a condition coined as “neurasthenia”.

There is a part of 19th century exhaustion models that still resonates today. While nobody can clearly define the phenomenon, one thing is certain: exhaustion is messy, and the theories behind it do not necessary build on each other. the theories behind exhaustion vacillate between somatic and psychic, between pointing the finger at modernization and placing the blame on the individual. Everyone tends to have one distinct theory that they believe in.

My theory and my solution: too much intellectual masturbation; too much worrying about nothing and everything; stop sweating the small stuff.

I am presently fighting a possibly stage IV cancer. I am undergoing chemotherapy and radiations on a daily basis. In September I will have to submit myself to extensive surgery. My chances for survival: anything between 10 and 53%. Do I worry? Absolutely not!

You want to avoid exhaustion and this burn out sensation: enjoy every day of your life, even the rainy ones. Without rain, there would be no flowers. Don’t sweat the small stuff and make sure not take any bunkum from anyone. Above everything else, stay away from negative people and stay true to yourself.

Snapchat

Share your services, products information and more

Snapchat is the social media platform for smartphone users, especially young adults, to share photos, videos, drawings and text. If you are new to Snapchat, it is important to take your time to become acclimated to the site; it is not like any other social media site you have joined recently.

In the past, the site was not known for its robust business presence, but that is changing. Business leaders, recognizing the power and potential of the up-and-coming entrepreneurs in the young demographic using Snapchat, have started snapping quick and inspiring messages to their fan bases using the platform.

Once you are up and running on Snapchat, you will want to follow a few people to get used to the site.

Trump’s Meltdown

Trump is now choking on his own words and behavior

As his conduct becomes more erratic and alarming by the day, to win the presidential race, Donald Trump really needs a time-out to reconsider his overall campaign strategy.

Trump’s strategy of “All Press Is Good Press” might have worked fine during the primaries but it is not working for him in this election.

The way he is going now, there is no way Trump can win this election.

Political Correctness: Living In a Kiss Ass Generation

Political Correctness

My latest painting

“Make America Great Again” Because no matter what is in your pants, you can still be a big prick. – Illma Gore

“Political correctness” is a term describing language, policies and measures intended not to offend or disadvantage any particular group of people in a community or society. As Clint Eastwood would say, “We now live in a pussy generation” where if you say the wrong thing, you may be penalized, lose your job or even taken to court.

Every single day, media bombards us with subtle messages about what we should believe and what appropriate speech consists of. Most of the time, most of us quietly fall in line with this unwritten speech code. Those that would dare to buck the system are finding out that the consequences can be rather severe and the younger generation is particularly susceptible to this media’s power of suggestion and when we, the people go to work or go to school, the conversations that we have with others are mostly based on content that the media feeds us.

The media is not the only source that is telling us what to think. The messaging that comes from all of our major institutions either governmental, social or educational is remarkably consistent. The establishment have a relentless propaganda machine that never stops working, trying to control what we say and how we think or how we should think. Freethinkers are now a rare breed and understanding what is being done to us is the first step toward breaking free. The way that we all see the world today has been greatly shaped by the thousands of hours of thought training and indoctrination that we have all received over the years.

The Trump Factor

Again, as Clint Eastwood would say, “Anyone offended by Donald Trump’s so-called racist remarks attitude and language should just fucking get over it.”

Trump is onto something because he is only plainly and simply saying what is on his mind. Sometimes it is not so good and sometimes it is exactly what most people mean and, personally, I can definitely understand where he is coming from. You may not always agree with Trump but you will have to agree with me that he does not have to agree with you or anybody else.

Saying that a judge is prejudicial or bias because of his descent is definitely a dumb thing to say but that does not mean that you are racist. Saying that a specific individual of a specific descent may be prejudicial or detrimental to you because of your previously expressed opinions is a totally different story and has nothing to do with racism. Saying that one is a racist or a bigot because he is saying that we shall limit all Muslim entries in a country, saying that all illegal immigrants shall be deported out of a country if they do not comply with the immigration laws… Come on! This is only common sense; this is in no way racism or bigotry.

In the sixties my mother, like many thousand others, had to sign for and endorse my father, an illegal American immigrant to Canada were he has been working and paying taxes for more than 10 years. My father had to reluctantly kneel in front of the queen and kiss her ass in order to stay in Canada and provide for his family. Does that mean that the Canadian are racists? Come on, like my father, just get the fuck over it! Immigration laws are for everyone including those, like my father, that originally did not comply and started a family in a foreign land.

Saying that there should be a stringent vetting system for all immigrants and refugees, especially for those coming from proselytized countries in any way of form… Come on! This is only common sense; you want to come and live in my house, you have to live according to the rules of my house. When I go to Rome, I dress and eat like the Romans. I know how to show respect! Do you really believe that Donald J. Trump is the only person in the world that is really fed up with the illegal immigrants, Islamic people and refugees of all breed? Come on; wake up! Look around: Trump is only saying out loud what millions of people are thinking all around the world. Trump may well have small hands but he definitely has big cojones.

Too much ass kissing and not enough ass kicking!

Secretly or privately, everybody is getting tired of political correctness and kissing up asses. We live in a kiss ass generation. We are in it right now and it is a very sad story. Everybody’s walking on eggshells. People are accusing people of being racist, being bigot, being atheist, being birther, being whatever. People are blaming everyone except themselves for their own misery, their condition and the way they live. Come on, get over it! Man up! When I grew up, those things were not happening. We were not happy with our live, we were doing something about it. Instead of complaining about them and moaning like a child, we knew how to deal with assholes and abusers of all kinds. When we saw snakes, we were not having a meeting about it; we killed snakes!

Personally, I do believe that our planet should be a global village without any kind of frontier, territorial, economical or geographical. I do believe in a world where everybody should live according to one and only one rule: The Golden rule! Evidently, humanity being what it is now, this is not tomorrow the day.

We all live in a kiss ass generation!

All across the world, some, especially the pundits and the media would say and insist that Trump is inciting political violence, that he is a serial liar, a rampant xenophobe and all these other things. I am certainly not to discuss all these issues. It would be losing my time: people only hear what they want to hear. People do not want to hear the truth, they only want you to confirm what they perceive as being the truth. To all of you, owner of the only and holy truth, I would say only a few things: Wake up kiddos! Just get over it! Open your eyes! Finally, after decades of stifling political economical and religious correctness norms, millions have found their voices and it is not a pretty sound.

Like it or not, around the world, millions of people want to do that same thing: speak their minds without fear of being shushed and shamed for being politically or otherwise incorrect. More and more people are now feeling free to talk about what is really on their minds, with no filter between their brain and their mouth, regarding issues related to race, ethnicity, race, culture, gender, religion, sexuality and other sensitive topics. More and more people are now feeling free to share their feelings, their fears, their resentments, their hopes, their anxieties, their prejudices, their values and beliefs. More and more people are now having an open discussion about what we really think and feel.

How are we ever going to have authentic, meaningful conversations about sensitive issues of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, cultural difference and values if we cannot talk about what is really on our minds? How can we build bridges of understanding if we cannot speak openly? Are we really so fragile, so sensitive, that we cannot bear to hear someone else speak their truth, even if that truth is painful to hear? Do we really need to be protected from each other’s perceptions, fears, anger and resentment? Are our feelings so delicate that we cannot bear to listen to the pain, confusion, and frustration that other carry in their hearts?

We will never rid of the world prejudices or biases, racism, sexism, bigotry, and xenophobia by prohibiting uncomfortable, painful conversations. For decades, social, religious and political correctness proponents of all kinds and breeds have said: “Never share your true feelings and thoughts, especially if they are negative. Political correctness has a down side, and we are all seeing it big time. By not allowing people to speak of their fear of others, their financial and social anxiety, their despair about the future, we have failed to deal with the chronic, soul-crushing pain that millions have been feeling for a long time.

The Trump Factor Revisited

Today, unseen before, a politician is making it OK for people to talk about what is really on their minds with no filter between their brain and their mouth. Donald J. Trump, even if it may cost him dearly, does not self-censor and that is one of the things that is appealing to his admirers.

It is about a year ago that Donald Trump stormed onto the political scene.

Those who regularly and constantly advocate political correctness are motivated primarily by either their own personal concerns or by the emotional wellbeing of their ostensibly vulnerable minority community. Their concerns have nothing to do with the general or national interest of a global population and I tend to agree with Trump when he says: “I think the big problem this country has is being politically correct. I’ve been challenged by so many people, and I Do not frankly have time for total political correctness. And to be honest with you, this country [or any other in the world as a matter of fact], does not have time either.”

Many had and still have concerns about Trump. They questioned and are still questioning whether someone with such cutting yet candid honesty, a candidate who veered so sharply from so many of the usual political expectations, could ever become president. Rather than backing down, Trump is still pushing forward.

Today, political correctness with peer-engendered public shaming is now the social reality and there is a contingency of people and pundits that seek not just to diminish alternate viewpoints, but to repress them altogether. It is this kind of mindset, the hostile advocacy of platitudes over polite dissent, dictatorial silencing over thoughtful engagement and censorship over free interchange, that took many from reticent acceptance of Trump’s approach to passionate advocacy.

Yet it is his honest advocacy for his deeply held beliefs that has emboldened many to speak out confidently for their positions, and to ignore the anonymous attacks and scoffing jeers of the naysayers.

Trump has set and is still setting the politically correct walls aflame.

Hunger, poor

hunger

More and more people are now focusing on the poor.

A breath of fresh air is blowing on the surface of the earth. More and more people are now focusing on the poor.

Man can choose between darkness and light. On the part of the people there are times of both light and darkness, fidelity and infidelity, obedience, and rebellion; times of being a pilgrim people and times of being a people adrift. In our personal history too, there are both bright and dark moments, lights and shadows. If we love our brothers and sisters, we walk in the light; but if our heart is closed, if we are dominated by pride, deceit, self-seeking, then darkness falls within us and around us.

For the coming year and the years to come, may the people of the world shun pride and selfishness and open up their hearts to their fellow man.

civilizations, doomsday, End of the world, Spiritual Beliefs

e00e28fbf97ea9128eaa66037b7a244d

A major shift in civilizations is about to happen.

Although from a scientific point of view that most doomsday scenario are mostly unlikely for the near future, there are worldwide signs all over the planet indicating that earth and mankind are now experiencing major changes: a major shift in civilizations is about to happen that started one hundred years ago.

Since the origins of man, many societies have been ruled by religious and spiritual beliefs and, all over the world, for years and years, the Apocalypse, the end of the word has been predicted. It doesn’t take a nuclear physicist or a spiritual leader to predict that one day, this earth is going to die.

All planets die one day and, when this will happen, if there are still men on earth, they will also die. This will be the end of the world, as we know it but certainly not the end of the universe. New planets are born every day and the universe is still expanding. But what about a possible global disaster that may happen in our days that could means the near extinction of man on earth?

History, science, studies and researches teach us that in the past, entire highly developed populations and civilizations suddenly disappeared from the surface of the planet on behalf of natural, biological disasters and human behaviors. Entire species disappeared from the surface of the planet in a very short time period, even in minutes and all of this, without any warning.

If this happen in the past, why can it not happen today?

King Global Earth & Environmental sciences Corporation – Striking this balance, between crop production and environmental impact for future generations, takes real innovation. At King Global Earth & Environmental Sciences Corporation, this is what we do.

Our world populations are rapidly expanding. Our planet is not. In a world where too many already go hungry, we, as citizen of the Earth, all have a very daunting challenge on our hands: feeding the estimated nine billion of us who will inhabit Earth by the year 2050 will require food to be grown on roughly the same amount of land that we use for farming today. Fortunately, we have King Global Earth & Environmental Sciences Corporation.

King Global Earth & Environmental Sciences Corporation is now turning its attention to the study of soil fertility and soil chemistry to help secure and grow the food supply for the future generations. This challenge is not just an agronomic issue; it is also an economic and freedom issue. Many developing countries struggle because their people have very little economic freedom. Agronomy by itself will not solve these issues. Agricultural education will.

At King Global Earth & Environmental Sciences Corporation, our first role is to help develop and refine enhanced efficiency soil nutrients and chemical free fertilizers. Our mission is to provide food security for the world using the land we already have. This means applying the right kinds of soil nutrients and chemical free fertilizers in just the right amounts to optimize the balance between crop production and environmental impact for future generations and striking this balance takes real innovation.

With newly developed soil nutrients and chemical free fertilizers we try to optimize the amount of nutrients getting into the plant or tree to help it grow and produce a better quality produce and harvest. By applying technical and scientific innovation, we are now also working on harnessing the power of microbial life that already exist and occur in the environment. to optimize both, the plant itself and the product.

The process begins by identifying precisely which microbial form of life can help naturally stimulate plants and trees to improve their performance in areas such as potency, water and nutrient use efficiency and crop yield. We test our products on plants in the lab, we test them in the greenhouse, and finally, if it proves promising by producing more grain or better fruits, we try it out in the field on a much larger scale.

We will screen thousands of microbial forms and test thousands of soil nutrients to find just a few that work. But it is all worth it, because helping plants grow bigger, better, stronger and faster, brings real, long-term value to society, which brings us back to our mission: doing our part to help feed the world today and tomorrow.

King Global Earth & Environmental Sciences Corporation is committed to making long-term investments in science, research and the development of new products and technologies that are going to take and get us there.

There are not a lot of other companies who would both see the potential, and be willing to make that deep financial commitment to this kind of promising Eco-friendly, environmentally sound and systemic technology.

Our partners do and are committed to our success, to our mission in feeding the world, in growing a stronger and better planet.
