Debts, Money Struggles

It is never too late to turn your life around

How is your employment status affecting your income?

Does your financial situation mean that you feel cut off from family and friends?

Do you have issues with debt?

Are money problems leading you to a shopping or gambling addiction?

How isolated do you feel?

Half of people in debt do not want to talk to friends and family about their financial issues. They do not want to worry them!

Money struggles can lead you to feeling cut off from people for a range of reasons, but withdrawing into financial loneliness always make it harder to solve your problems.

Why waste valuable time?

It is never too late to turn your life around and I can help you.

Six Good Reasons Not to Hire A Business Consultant

The “Megalomania Syndrome”: A delusional mental illness that is marked by feelings of personal omnipotence and grandeur.

You might not want to hire a business consultant or any other assistant to help you with your business: Do you suffer from overbearingness or are you simply irresponsible?

As a major player in Change Management, Public Relations and Corporate Communications, Business and Corporate Strategic Systemic Planning, Regulatory Compliance and Change Management and Crisis and Reputation Management for the past 25 years, I can give you a million reasons why you should hire a business consultant to help you grow your business. But, for some reasons, you might not want to do so.

Here are six good reasons why you would not need any assistance from any business consultant or any kind of any other advocate.

First: You know it all.

You know all there is to know about business, and never hesitate or wonder if you are making the right decisions or if you going down the right path. You never worry about your future and you sleep well at night knowing the choices you made today were the right ones.

Second: You do not want to be held accountable.

You spend 100 percent of your time in the office focused on growing your business. You do not get sidetracked by staff issues or putting out fires. And you most definitely never sit in on a meeting that is a waste of your time. You complete all the items on your to-do list each and every day with time to spare. When you set your mind on a goal or project, you push it to completion with time left over.

Third: You do not want to grow your business.

You have more than enough clients and increasing your revenue is not a concern for you. Growing your business and being able to sell it or own it passively in the future is not on your priority list or something you desire. You are scared to grow because growth often means working harder and you are already working as hard as you can.

Fourth: You want to work more.

You often leave the office at the end of the day wishing you could stay longer. Your significant other and family members never get upset over you being late for dinner or missing an important social or family event. You believe you spend too much time with your friends and family, and take too many vacations each year to exotic locations. You enjoy the feeling of being needed when your employees come to you for every little problem or roadblock.

Fifth: You do not want to celebrate your victories.

You see no reason to celebrate your victories. You are never too hard on yourself. You never look at your progress on a project and see only the things that are left to do on the to-do list.

Sixth: You have it all figured out!

Yes indeed, you have it all figured out, and you do not want to share your personal challenges and weaknesses with someone who might provide you with perspective and feedback. You do not want to talk to someone that will challenge your ideas and sharpen your thinking.

And most certainly, you do not want to talk about your business with someone who will not judge you and is only there to support you.

You have it all figured out.

One last word

If these six reasons sound like you, congratulations! You do not need any assistance from anyone.

But for the remaining 99.99 percent of business owners, CEO and corporate officers that are doing their best each and every day, and wonder if they could be doing things differently to grow their business faster, a business consultant just might be a good option.

On the other hand, even if having someone to guide you through the ups and downs of business ownership is not for everyone, if these 6 reasons do not sound like you at all, do not hesitate to contact me. I am still here to help you achieving greatness.

Give Me A Call!

Lead or Get Out of the Way. Simply Managing the Status Quo Is No Longer Acceptable.

People who play defense and avoid offense are nothing else than “leader-caretakers.” True leaders, despite the tumultuous times and forces swirling around them in this global age of disruption, constantly position themselves to boldly guide their organizations into the headwinds of change.

Outpacing change.

Leader-accelerators are the exceptional leaders of the 21st century. They think big and make great things happen in almost any circumstance. They are the “force-multipliers” and “architects” behind exceptional results.

The ability to survive, thrive and accelerate results, both individually and organizationally, is tied directly to the ability to outpace change in the external environment.

This truth is captured in two operating principles strongly at play in the modern marketplace.

  • The Today’s Age of Disruption principle: To win today, individuals and organizations must be able to change internally faster and more dynamically than the speed and magnitude of external change.
  • The Tomorrow’s Age of Disruption principle: To win tomorrow, individuals and organizations must create internal change capacity and capability faster than the rate of change projected to happen externally.

When the rate of change outside is more than what it is inside, be sure that the end is near. Irrelevance, and even extinction, is inevitable when leaders fail to heed age of disruption principles.

Thinking bigger.

As the world continues to spin at a faster rate, it is throwing off problems and opportunities at a higher rate in every days of our life. It is the leader-accelerators who can identify these problems and opportunities surrounding themselves and move forward with disruptive visions that can completely alter the landscape.

Today, simply managing the status quo is no longer acceptable for anyone. Whatever you are planning, whatever you are thinking, think faster and think bigger.

Choosing your strategy.

Today’s business leaders would be wise to disrupt rather than be disrupted. For these leader-accelerators, the “Change Before You Have To” approach is a better strategy than the “Change Because You Need To” response. By being proactive, by taking control of whatever could be thrown at them or happened in the future help them to avoid playing the game of business as accidental victim.

In this world of constant global disruption, being a “Caretaking Leader”, “Fence sitting” no longer is a viable option. Simply managing the status quo is no longer acceptable. Lead or Get Out of the Way. Simply managing the status quo is no longer acceptable. in today’s global economy, waiting for the winds to change or blow over, leaving everything the same as before is a recipe for disaster.

Lead or get out of the way.

Four Important Things To Do To Get Recognition While Branding And Marketing Yourself.

Branding, Empowerment, Marketing

Your work is your greatest marketing tool.

People may ignore what you say, but they always pay attention to what you do. The more you make, the higher its quality, and the more willing you are to share it with the world, the more people will discover and spread the word about you.

1.- Help people

Be known for being generous. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it will get you noticed by the people you help and the people they know.

2.- Overdeliver

An adequate, an average job never get talked about. Nobody tells anybody else about the person who did a “just good enough” job on work they hired them to do. To get noticed, you must exceed expectations, not simply live up to them.

3.- Acknowledge everyone who mentions you

Everyone is worth your time when trying to grow your audience.

4.- Teach what you know

Teaching not only attracts an appreciative crowd and creates opportunities, but it also unlocks a deeper understanding of your subject matter for you in the process.

Your Crisis and Reputation Management Plan: Use It or Lose It.

Crisis & Reputation Management, Regulatory Compliance

More than three decades after the Bhopal gas leak killed a few thousand people and affected about 500,000 others, the struggle continues.

What use are your crisis plans if they’re left to gather dust?

Firms do smart things to help them become resilient. They create business continuity plans, cyber playbooks, terror playbooks, they employ mass notification and document sharing technology and then they do something really dumb: they put it in a box marked ‘Crisis Use Only’. Meanwhile, everyone breathes a huge sigh of relief thinking their organisation is crisis ready.

Use it or lose it

The Union Carbide Bhopal Incident of 1984 has become a business case study. On the night of 2-3 December 1984 at the Union Carbide India Limited pesticide plant in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, over 500,000 people were exposed to methyl isocyanate gas. Thousands of Indians were killed or injured. It is considered to be the world’s worst industrial disaster ever. All of which you may be familiar with, but what you may not know is that prior to the Bhopal tragedy, as part of their crisis planning, Union Carbide Corporation Limited had invested a considerable sum of money in crisis management software which was designed to help them through just such a scenario. And what had they done with this valuable tool? Yes, you guessed it: they’d put it in the dreaded crisis box. Unfortunately, the staff who had brought the software to the company had left and no one had been trained to replace them. So, there they were with a great crisis tool that no one had a clue how to use.

Time to dump the crisis box

Get your plans and playbooks out and test them during a crisis simulation. If you have invested in incident management software, then make sure it is used during the simulations. Perhaps there are elements of the technology that can be deployed on a daily basis to convey information to managers, employees and colleagues. This will allow those with administration and operational credentials to become familiar with the product and understand its full potential. During an emergency, messages sent on a platform that staff have never seen before will likely be met with consternation, if not downright hostility. A real crisis situation is never the most appropriate time to experiment with new technologies and crisis management software.

At JMD Systemics, we can help you test and improve your crisis response plan in such a way that it will be possible for you to prevent all possible disasters or strategy before they happen.

The 90 days “Extreme You” Challenge

02 Wednesday Oct 2019

Crisis Management, Empowerment, Extreme Me, Extreme You

Today is my second day of my 90 days “Extreme Me” Challenge.

“Why are you Doing this Challenge?” would you ask.

Let’s say that Christmas is 84 days away and the new year 89 days away.

The end of the year is always a really tough time for me personally. While I love the holiday season it can also be a really stressful and chaotic time especially this year.

The last three years have been very tough and stressful and demanding.

In 2016, shortly after being laid off, West Corporation shutting down its Omnipod division after losing the customer to the competition, I was diagnosed with advanced phase 3 colon cancer and was given 3 months to live if nothing was to be immediately done about it.

Accordingly, my knee surgery replacement was delayed and I immediately started radiation and chemotherapy. Then, this was surgery, removal of a major part of my rectum, wearing a bag and removal of the bag. While all prognostics were favorable for the next 6 months, having lost control of my anal sphincter, I was shitting in my pants and shitting the sheets on a regular basis.

Then, it was 2017 when I ended up to the Kingston General Hospital Intensive Care Unit on two occasions. The first one when I ended up fully dehydrated and the doctors had to perform what they did call “Dehydration Resuscitation” and a second time where surgery had to be urgently performed due to a severe cholangitis.

2018 was not a better year.

All year long I had to go to the hospital for follow ups and I was running out of money. Above everything else, I had to deal with a very chagrined and depressed life partner.

2019 was even worse.

On January 17th 2019, due to negligence and incompetence of my so-called surgeon, following a failed laparoscopic gallbladder removal, once again, between life and death, I was ending up in the Kingston General Hospital Intensive Care Unit only to be released from the hospital on April 27.

Yes, indeed, the last few years of my life were not the best of my life.

Following my release from the hospital last April, I had to deal with a major loss of income. Being physically impaired, no longer being able to manage dockings, I had to resign myself to sell my boat. I then had to deal with an N12 Notice and move from a very big house to a very small house. And, all of this while still having to deal with a still very chagrined and depressed life partner.

You are Still Wondering Why I’m Doing the Challenge?

Let’s say that I do not give up very easily. I am a huge fan of positivism and setting new big scary goals and I need, to turn my life around now.

Desperate times call for desperate solutions.

They say it takes 30 days to build a new habit. So, in times where things are getting very chaotic, giving myself 90 full days to reinvent myself can really help me stay on track and take me into the new year prepared to chase down my dreams.

The “Extreme Me” 90 days challenge is all about finishing the last 90 days of this year strong and starting a new life.

Tomorrow Starts Today

Tell me, what is your challenge?

Growing Your Box

Thinking Outside the Box

JMD Executive Coaching

While we are all wired for connections and growth, inevitably, most of the time, we all stand in our own way.

All of a sudden, the system, the business model we developed and believed in suddenly fails us. We get lost, feel isolated and cannot seem to identify the blind spots and limiting beliefs holding us back from success.

As an Executive Coach, my mission is: to Advise & Coach high performers how to operate from a place of unabridged inner intelligence so they could lead with fierce, innovative and empathic presence.

My talent is to identify the red flags, to unmask these blockages that are preventing high performers to reach the next peak, thus guiding employees, managers and corporate officers to find their answers from the inside out while creating solutions from the outside in. This is what I call “Growing Your Box” a tremendously effective alternative to “Thinking Outside the Box”.

I do not believe in “Thinking Outside the Box. In our modern world, “Thinking Outside the Box” is highly overrated.

A Radical Personal and Professional Transformation Project
Turning Your Life Around | How to Stay Relevant in a Fast-Changing World

When things are bad, it is the best time to reinvent yourself

Why waste valuable time?

What if you could instantly improve your life, step up, stand out and kick ass, bounce back from failures, speak your truth, embrace your quirks, and have a lot more fun along the way?

What if you could instantly change the focus of your company to be customer centered, operationally excellent, and results driven? What if that change organically grew from within?

What if it took only 90 days for you to see the results?

For years, I have been looking for ways to escape the vicissitudes of my life and to become Who I Always Wanted to Be, Who I Was Meant to Be.

For years, I always wanted to escape all the vaticinators of my life and stop believing in all their lies and egotistical and narcissistic aspirations. Unfortunately, for years, I have been living the dreams of my father, the dreams of my mother, the dreams of a malevolent society, the dreams of the churches, the priests, the false prophets of all confessions only to lose myself in all their lies, illusions and delusions.

I was not going anywhere and, today, I am still not going anywhere. Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa! I love a good challenge and it is now time to take personally charge of “My Life”. It is time to turn “My Life” around and be “The Person I Always Meant to Be and live “A Life of My Own”. Keep reading and see if you want to join me to share with me and the world the reason(s) why you wish to take the 90 Days “Extreme You” Challenge and tell me and the world everything about your roadblocks and progress.

It is “Now” time to do it. I have to do it!

Starting October 1st, I will be telling you more about the “Extreme You” 90 Days Challenge and I would love to share and hear from you. I would love to learn more about you, your personal concerns and challenges, about your own goals and dreams.

Subscribe to “The Empower Yourself “Extreme You” 90 Days Facebook Challenge Page to tell me more about you and learn more about the 90 Days “Extreme You Challenge” and how it could improve your life.
