Anonymous Strikes Again : Stratfor Confidential Emails Published

Anonymous joined WikiLeaks to publish more than five million emails from the U.S.-based global security analysis company known as STRATFOR.

Some of the emails being published “may be forged or altered to include inaccuracies; some may be authentic,” the company said. Having had our property stolen, we will not be victimized twice by submitting to questioning about them”.

STRATFOR, previously known as Strategic Forecasting, Inc., is a global intelligence company founded in 1996 in Austin, Texas by George Friedman who is the founder, chief intelligence officer, and CEO of the company.

Since its inception in 1996, STRATFOR has published a daily intelligence briefing. Its rise to prominence occurred with the release of its Kosovo Crisis Center during the 1999 NATO airstrikes over Kosovo. Before the end of 1999, however, STRATFOR had introduced a subscription service through which it offered the majority of its analyses. At the time of the September 11, 2001 attacks, STRATFOR made its “breaking news” paragraphs, as well as some notable analyses predicting likely actions to be taken by al-Qaeda and the Bush administration, available freely to the public.

STRATFOR has some products available to the public including private briefings, corporate memberships, a publishing business that includes written and multimedia analysis and an iPhone application. STRATFOR has been cited by media such as CNN, Bloomberg, the Associated Press, Reuters, The New York Times and the BBC as an authority on strategic and tactical intelligence issues.Barron’s once referred to it as “The Shadow CIA”.

WikiLeaks did not say how it had acquired access to the vast haul of internal and external correspondence of the Austin, Texas based company and people linked to Anonymous took credit for the data theft. “Congrats on the amazing partnership between #Anonymous and #WikiLeaks to make all 5 million mails public,” AnonSec Tweeted. Hackers linked to the Anonymous hackers group said at the beginning of the year they had stolen the email correspondence of some 100 of the firm’s employees.

The emails, snatched by hackers, could unmask sensitive sources and throw light on the murky world of intelligence-gathering by the company which counts Fortune 500 companies among its subscribers.

Cyber attacks: the weaponry of the future

Anonymous hacker

Ralph Langner, the researcher who identified that Stuxnet infected PLCs, first speculated publicly in September 2010 that the malware was of Israeli origin, and that it targeted Iranian nuclear facilities. However Langner, more recently, stated that, while the Mossad is involved, the leading force behind Stuxnet is not Israel but the one and only cyber superpower, the United States of America.

Cyber attacks are now targeting high-value infrastructures not only in Iran but all over the world. According to Langner, this trend won’t fade or go away and most major installations and critical infrastructure in the world are not really prepared for this. So when they will be attacked, it will probably take a year until they notice what is going on, which is exactly what we have seen in the case of Stuxnet. According to Langner, we presently don’t have Intrusion Detection System tools and technology that could prevent it. From a technology point of view, you certainly can design a product that would be capable of doing this. But so far, we haven’t seen it.

If most nations and institutions are so unprepared, how come don’t we see more of these intrusive cyber attacks? The answer is quite simple: So far, we haven’t seen any really solid contingency plans for cyber attacks but this is coming sooner than you think. People are fed up with what is going on around the world and there are more and more well educated and knowledgeable people out there and this might get very nasty faster than you think groups like Anonymous could decide [and I hope they will,] to target all major institutions and bring down any superpower on its knees.

Science and knowledge are no longer the appanage of the rich and powerful.

Anonymous attaque le ministère de la justice Grec

L’ensemble des nations, des politiciens de la terre jouant du clientélisme, créent des fonctions publiques pléthoriques. Personne ne peut dire avec certitude le nombre réel de fonctionnaires, mais une chose est certaine, ils sont nombreux et se multiplient au détriment des citoyens qui s’appauvrissent et paient leurs salaires indécents. Et l’on s’étonnera de voir, un peu partout dans le monde, la naissance et l’apparition de révoltes populaires !

Anonymous s’attaque présentement au site Internet du Ministère de la Justice Grec pour punir les responsables d’avoir arrêté les mauvaises personnes, de pauvres et innocents citoyens au lieu de tous ces politiciens véreux et de ces banquiers crapuleux qui, pour des considérations politiques et économiques internationales continuent à « victimiser » le peuple Grec. Anonymous s’est engagé, si le Fonds Monétaire International ne se retire pas et si le gouvernement ne donne pas sa démission, à effacer les dettes de tous les citoyens de la Grèce.

À vrai dire, j’aimerais bien les voir à l’œuvre…

J’aimerais bien les voir effacer toutes les dettes de tous les citoyens de la planète, les voir détourner tous les fonds de toutes les institutions financières de la planète pour les redistribuer équitablement entre tous les citoyens de la terre, les voir détruire toutes les institutions politiques des oligarchies politiques et religieuses de notre époque pour enfin instaurer une république mondiale du peuple, gouvernée par le peuple. Malheureusement, je ne crois pas que ceci puisse se produire maintenant mais, croyez-moi:
